Jesse McCartney is a performer. His stage presence is electric, fun and thoroughly entertaining. There was something unexpected about his ability to command the stage as a world famous pop artist while making each and every audience member feel like they are the only one he’s singing to. One minute he’d be running up to his orange mic stand on the second level to assume a power stance with his guitarist and the next second he’s back at the edge of the stage making playful faces and gestures at individual people in the crowd. Not many artists have learned to use their facial expressions as a tool in their performances but Jesse has mastered it. 

Many in the crowd were there for the nostalgia of seeing a teen pop icon they may have had posters of on their wall. Jesse knew this and acknowledges it by saying, “I’ve got a lot of new music from my recent album I want to share with you tonight, (cheeky little grin) but I’ve also got some oldies too”. By the end of the show he may have had some new, old, fans streaming his new music.
